Darby + Michael got married under the oak trees of Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC.

Their reception was held at a historic home just a short walk away.

When Darby came to us, she immediately knew she wanted to play with pattern + color. Music to our ears!

The resulting design was playful and chic, with a modern play on a spring pastel palette.

The guests were greeted with paper fans at their seats and a colorful grounded arch that felt like a part of the surrounding gardens.

A walk through the winding pathways led to the reception tent. Croquet and Aperol Spritz kept the guests busy at cocktail hour.

We layered a floral patterned linen and taupe pin striped napkin for the main tablescape. The swirled china pattern complemented the classic nature of the historic home while the gold brushed flatware brought in a modern touch.

Equally playful signage, matchbooks, and a pink audio guestbook all reflected Darby + Michael’s fun and relaxed nature.
